Hsien at A Hearty Life is kicking off a new series, What's In Your Medicine Chest? When I said I would participate, I had no idea it would turn into a scavenger hunt. I also had no idea just how much medicine and medical paraphernalia we have about the place. Sheesh.
The Main Stash. We keep our main meds in baskets in a dining room cabinet, along with the backup cat food and a lunch tote. If I had panned to the right, you would also see (rarely used) yoga paraphernalia. The teeny, tiny tags on each basket read: Vitamins, OTC, and Rx, which is laughable because I just went through them and they were shockingly comingled.
So post-photo, my sis and I reorganized to:
- Cough, Cold, Allergy, & Tummy
- Pain & Sleep (gotto love those surgery leftovers like Vicoden and Xanax)
- Sis (easier for her to keep all her daily meds in one place)
Wound Central. A built-in closet organizer in the walk-in closet off the master bath houses Band-Aids of all shapes, sizes, and application method: self-stick, tape on, wrap around, and liquid. (Liquid!) Plus Q-Tips and cotton rounds and a few wayward allergy meds.
Kitty Care. I have to give my elderly kitty subcutaneous liquids every other day, so I have rigged up the pressure bag on the back of my bedroom door. I keep extra liquids and needles in a bureau drawer. This is not exactly a medicine cabinet, but it is medical and it depresses the hell out of me thus I force you to share in my misery. Um, sorry.
For all ten of my exciting medicine cabinet pictures, including diabetic supplies in the fridge and a breathtaking shot of my pill box on the bathroom counter, check out my Flickr photo set What's in your medicine cabinet?
My apologies, Hsien. I am sure when you asked for a simple picture of my medicine chest, you did not expect this!
So, what's in your medicine cabinet?
